Their story, in their words….
The aspect of the game that I am most proud of was the game’s visuals. As the programmer of this project, I spent the majority of the game’s prototype working with coloured squares. It is thanks to Igor and Coll that I was able to achieve the visuals of the game which I had sought from the very beginning. The challenge that was set by the foundation to do something great gave me the motivation to start this project and I am proud of what my teammates have accomplished.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to complete our video game by the end of the summer holidays, due to the cut scenes and sound effects of the game that are still to be added. Thanks to the Mark Evison Foundation, I was able to make significant progress on the game as a whole. Whilst I am happy with what I have achieved over the past month, I believe that it is currently unfinished and not up to standard.
Even though the game has not yet been completed, I believe that I have learned a lot more about the game industry and have further honed my programming skills. It is a shame that we were not able to reach our goal by the deadline which was set, but we still plan to continue developing the game and are determined to finish it.
