Their story, in their words…
Our Mark Evison group completed the 125km walk along the Great Glen way, starting from Fort William to Inverness in Scotland, all within 4 and a half days.During the adventure we traversed large stretches of forest and mountain along the loches, admiring the beauty of the natural world and taking it as fuel to keep on moving.
Each day we had to tackle many challenges, that being the physical ( and mental) demand of walking countless kilometers a day with heavy equipment, navigation, identifying good camping spots and cooking. The first day pushed us the most and stretched limits we had put on our selves,we started the day at 1:30am and ended it at 3:00pm after walking 36km, at this point we were sore everywhere, fatigued and with painful blisters forming.
We had to develop discipline and resilience to push on the next couple days, fighting the overwhelming feeling of defeat by developing an extreme focus and belief within ourselves and each other.
