London-Brighton-Southampton-London Cycle

Their story, in their words…

From the 14th to the 16th of July, the four of us cycled from London to Winchester, Winchester to Brighton and then Brighton to London.

On day 1 we got the train from Waterloo to Staines and then cycled 104km to Winchester where we camped for the night. Then, on day 2 we cycled 121km from Winchester to Brighton where we stayed in a youth hostel and had Fish and chips for dinner! And then finally on day 3, we cycled 80km from Brighton to Croydon where we got the overground back to Hackney.

It was quite a challenge but we all made it and had a good time. The first day was definitely the hardest but it got easier after that and we all supported each other throughout the trip.

From the trip we all developed physically and mentally as we had to navigate and manage our energy levels so we could complete the ride. Overall it was a very enjoyable trip but also a nice challenge.
