Their story, in their words…
First day of our hiking trip to Peak District was arguably a bit more challenging out of all the five days. We arrived early in the morning so it was still a bit dark but overall weather was calm and that the town is quiet so once everything is ready, we started our long walk to the first campsite which we carried our heavy bags which contains all the equipment we have for the five days of camping and also have to check the OS map to make sure we are on the correct path.
The walk itself was really peaceful from the start to the first campsite. The views and scenery were really beautiful especially as the sun started to rise on the way as we got closer to the campsite. Once we arrived at the campsite It felt really rewarding that we made our first achievement for the hiking trip and that the walk overall is something that we as a group are able to adapt to throughout the remaining days of the hiking trip in Peak District.
The hiking that we have done for our mef project was something we haven’t done before and was a new experience stepping out of ourcomfort zone and this was a great way for me and the group to push our limits from what we usually do and we made many memories face many challenges and overall enjoy it was a mix of fun but at time challenge and was a very good experience
Our hiking trip to the Peak District was a great experience. The weather was pleasant, making the walk enjoyable from start to finish.
One of the best parts of the trip was the beautiful scenery. The Peak District offered stunning views of rolling hills, valleys, and open countryside. Along the way, we also saw goats grazing, which made the hike even more memorable.
The natural surroundings were peaceful and full of life. The fresh air, green landscapes, and colorful plants created a relaxing atmosphere. It was a perfect opportunity to appreciate nature and enjoy time outdoors.
We am very grateful to the Mark Evison Foundation for giving usthis amazing opportunity to hike, camp in different places, and experience the outdoors. This trip allowed us to challenge ourselves, get closer with friends, and create many unforgettable memories that we will always treasure. we truly appreciate the support and encouragement that made this experience possible.
