Stage play

Their story, in their words…

For our Mark Evison challenge we chose to write, produce and perform an original play. Having Mark Evisons support was very valuable, as it meant we could be really creative with our costuming and set. Taking on this challenge was very difficult and demanding, but it pulled together really well, and on the night, we were really proud of the final piece. We gained confidence in ourselves and our ability to work as a team, independent of adults, to achieve what we set out to do. We worked as a team to write a script based on an original concept (The Whitechapel murders), and preform it to an audience. Since the only logical performance time fell near the end of the year, it was very challenging, what with end of year exams, and other commitments at school. But this challenge has helped grow our confidence as the months working on it went on, so in the tough final days, we worked together, and managed to pull it off. We were delighted to be able to raise money for charity, so other students can continue to take on challenges, and have incredibly rewarding experiences like we did.
