Grace’s comment:
This project was a great opportunity to really dive out of what we were used to. We had never been in a full studio before, so it was great to see all the equipment and try to make some music.
At first it was difficult to find a specific theme we wanted to go for and how we would lay out the songs we chose, but after some practice we found our ground and things started to come together. I was pretty nerve-wracking when we first entered the studio but once we had set up our lyrics and piano notes we started to flow. Thank you for the great opportunity Mark Evison Foundation we really learned so much!
Kyla’s comment:
This project was a great learning experience and opportunity to develop our skills around music and song creating. It has also allowed us to focus on something less academic and feel as though we were doing something for others and our self. However, it was difficult to create chords for all of the songs initially, but we managed to do it. I was also able to look at the software used that helped finalise the songs. It was a great feeling hearing the final songs put together and for everyone else to be able to listen and share our work.
