Their story, in their words….

For our project we decided to create four different gowns which reflected the happiness and joy which was missed within this COVID period. After a long process to finalise budgeting and finances , the project commenced in the middle of June. Taking us two months to fully complete all of the dresses due to having to work around many school exams and our packed school timetable. Every break , lunchtime and free period was used to stitch, cut and manifest our designs. We hit many walls when creating the outfits as we had to continuously sample and have many fittings with the models. Then came the summer holidays in which we had to create a new plan since we could no longer use the school premise to continue our journey. We then continued to work tirelessly at home but through multiple FaceTime calls and extreme amounts of planning and organisation we manage to complete it all . Alongside making sure the shoot coincided with our models schedules , both of us took multiple visits to different parks to find the perfect area for our photoshoot . So after much indecision , despite the bad weather , we had a fun afternoon in Cator park experimenting with balloons , tissue paper and our natural surrounding . We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved in the last year and thankful for the opportunity to develop skills which we were unable to explore in depth in secondary.
