Their story, in their words….
For our challenge, we sought out to write and record an original song accompanied by a music video. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity. The challenges we faced weren’t easy but they made the result far more worthwhile. Our first major problem occurred when computer in the studio we had booked was stolen. This meant we had to improvise and make a rough recording at one of our houses in order to be able to make the music video on time. Another problem we faced was the teamwork itself. As a group of friends who had never had to mediate and discuss with goals in mind, working together on a project was challenge. We had several creative differences over the style of the song and the location for the music video, but a day or two of discussion and understanding helped us overcome this. Nevertheless, the special moments made it all worth it. Moments like hearing the first recording, or lying on the grass together on location for the video and watching the sun come out. We had the most incredible time filming, which means the video captures us having genuine fun with the people we love. Over all, this experience gave us the chance to become closer, understand each other better, and become more confident as musicians. It’s been an unforgettable experience, and we can’t thank the MEF enough for giving us the opportunity to make it happen.
