Ben Nevis hiking trip

Their story, in their words…

We got an overnight coach from London Victoria to Glasgow, then we had to wait a couple hours for our train to Fort William and we walked around the city. We then got on the train for a couple hours which had stunning views of the mountains.

After we got to Fort William we started our first hike “cows hill” to get us to our campsite. We got to the campsite, put up our tent made dinner and showered. The next day we woke up at about 8am and started our hike to Ben Nevis at about 9.30am, there was a clear pathway and pretty busy so we didnt get lost. We reached the top at about 1pm and headed back down and arrived at campsite at about 5pm, made dinner and chilled for the rest of the day. On the third day we got up at about 9am and went on out third hike, we walked along a road for a pretty long time and got some amazing views of the mountains. We finished our hike, came back and made dinner. The fourth day we woke up and had breakfast before heading to the train station, got on the train back to Glasgow and then got the coach back to London.

We overall really enjoyed this experience as we like hiking. It also taught us to be more independent as we had to plan ourselves and get there and do everything on our own. It was a lovely experience and now we feel more ready to book trips on our own.
