Their story, in their words…
We were able to work individually from home each working on our own tasks in order to contribute equally to creating the visual novel with multiple pathways to explore the multidimensional story. When it came to cropping out images, technically this became a problem for us as it was hard to keep the quality so we had to try out multiple editing software’s for our images to improve this.
In the drawing process, someone’s drawing tablet broke but they had found a solution which was to go to someone else’s house to draw in order to complete the drawing. Also within the programming aspect, we had to redo the game four times due to errors which meant that we had to remake the game and create saves of the game just incase he game became corrupted and half of our drawers were abroad so that proved to be an obstacle, however we were able to adapt our workload, and fit in times to work on the project.
We enjoyed working together, as we could work as a team. We learned a lot as we had to overcome multiple obstacles together and we had to show real grit as some times we spent hours re doing the same task. We feel like we have achieved a lot of creative freedom like never before by getting the opportunity to produce something on our own with no outside help, which has given us a sense of maturity by being able to learn by ourselves with guidance, whilst still being interdependent within our team.
