Their story, in their words…
For our Mark Evison Foundation project we co-wrote and produced our own play about the five confimed victims of Jack the Ripper. It was titled “The Canonical Five” and it took place on Wednesday the 8th of July 2026 at our school Chestnut Grove Academy.
Throughout this process we held auditions and casted people in production roles including technical roles as well as performance roles. Eden was the main director for the play whilst Ash acted in the play multiroling as two characters.
The performance was extremely successful and was well recieved by audience members including Lucie – a member of the Mark Evision team. We felt fulfilled by the process and stepped out of our comfort zone by doing such a large scale challenge. We recieved experience with acting and directing in the physical theatre style and a better understanding of the challenges which come with putting on a play. We thoroughly enjoyed this process and are extremely grateful to the mark evison foundation for this opportunity.
