Their story, in their words…
Me and Alice both created a booklet for students that are suffering from bullying. This booklet is there to guide them in the right direction and to help them build the courage to talk to staff or parents. We created an A5 booklet with 3 different languages so that everyone will be able to read and understand. In the booklet, we briefly talked about what is bullying and the different kinds of bullying. We were also able to collect some real-life stories from students around our school and used it in our booklet. We talked about the short- and long-term effects of bullying. We also found some websites and telephone numbers for students to use if they ever experience bullying. We also shared our own experiences of bullying in three different languages. At the end, we gave some tips and tricks for students to use if they experience bullying.
The good part was that how some students shared their bullying stories and helped us with the drawings for the booklet. The difficult part was creating the booklet online as it was very time consuming and it was hard to structure the pages at first, but it got easier as we kept getting used to the tools. And despite the challenges of managing our time as productively as possible it still came along nicely. Then it was finding the right printing services as most of them charged a lot of fundings for printing our booklet.
Me and my partner Alice, we feel proud as we have not done anything like this in our life as this is a very important topic for all students, and how much we learned from the process. So, we feel like we have accomplished something big.
