Camino Ingles: A Coruna to Santiago

Their story, in their words…

For our challenge we walked the Camino Ingles in Spain, travelling from A Coruna to Santiago. Over four days we walked over 80 kilometres, passing though different towns and countryside along the route before reaching Santiago.

Overall, the challenge was an unforgettable and a genuinely rewarding experience. The walking was more demanding than we all expected but it was fulfilling seeing how much distance we had covered at the end of each day. We learnt to keep going even whilst we were exhausted, and working together made the longer sections much easier. Reaching Santiago at the end made all the walking worthwhile.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience; despite the moments we were tired or felt underprepared. We are incredibly proud of ourselves for completing over 80 kilometres and pushing through difficult sections of elevation. It was also a great opportunity to spend time with friends while doing something completely out of our comfort zone, creating long lasting memories.

The challenge taught us a lot about perseverance and the importance of teamwork. We realised that sections so daunting became much more manageable when we took it one step at a time. We also gained a greater appreciation for the effort involved in long-distance walking and came away with many memorable experiences from the challenge.
