Hiking in the Lake District

Their story, in their words…

For our 6 day hike in the Lake District, we set off on a giant loop across various mountains, including names such as Great Gable, Great End, Scaffel Pike, Hay Stacks, Robinson, Hindscarth, and many more. The hike was 64.62km in total, and had a total ascent of 5253m. We wild camped every day – finding the best views and most sheltered spots so that we could settle down peacefully.

This ended up working out to be one of the best trips of our lives – even with it’s really difficult moments, as it meant we were able to get away from the city, but also provided us with a challenge that we has to conquer alone, with no adult input. This meant that we gained tonnes of practical experience, which will definitely help us on our future expeditions together. We felt that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and there was no way that we could let it pass, and it was so worth all of the hard work that we contributed to putting it all together.
