Fashion Show

Their story, in their words…

Our group decided to host a sustainable fashion show for our school. We curated 7 sets of clothing; made entirely of materials you would find in recycling bins. Our event started off with an opening speech from our MC, where she explained what our thoughts were behind the show. Then it moved onto a performance from our wonderful band.

The show started where our models walked the stage displaying pure confidence and energy. At the end we all took the time to explain our looks individually and give thanks to all those in attendance. We also decided to mention the MEF and show gratitude towards them funding the project. The show went extremely well, and the audience loved all the looks, and the performances from the band.

We thoroughly enjoyed making all the outfits, and it helped us build the skills to work together, whilst under pressure to finish all the outfits on time. Taking on this project pushed us out of our comfort zones, where we spoke in-front of a crowd, as-well as forcing us to think in a different creative way. This project helped us build confidence in our creative abilities; we now understand how to form different ideas collectively. We had so much fun hosting and will most definitely do it again!
