We fund Major Awards of up to £5000, given to young people aged 16-30 years, singly or in groups. We also collaborate with various schools where a School Award to a value of £500 is made annually in each school.
These awards are given for projects involving personal goals and challenge. We believe that motivation, effort, and ownership of activities are important in shaping the person and giving confidence.
To obtain funding you need to show initiative and evidence of a can-do attitude and a willingness to develop. You will show that you are caring and that you understand the importance of mutual support, collaboration and team work, so that your activities may inspire others. The project should be something you are very interested in but is harder than you have done before, and so is a challenge for you.

A wide range of personal challenges will be considered.
To help through the process of application and carrying out awards, mentors are available if requested (see awards section).
We organise the Heroes for Schools scheme, whereby young people who are ‘heroes’ in their own field, can come to schools to talk about what they have done. This gives a framework from which we promote the Foundation as well as benefiting the young audience.
