Annual School Awards
Please contact us if your institution would like to participate in this scheme, and introduce an annual Mark Evison Foundation award of up to £500, funded by the Foundation.
Generally the process involves us visiting the school and giving a presentation about the Foundation and the awards on the scheme to 16-18 year olds, inviting applications from them. A named teacher then receives any applications, often helping to shape the presentations and suggesting resources if required. The applications are judged on an agreed date, when we visit the school. The award is carried out within an agreed time frame, and certificates are presented on completion. Often the Award winners will give a presentation to the school about their experience.
Students winning an award will be expected to have completed a risk assessment. Individual schools may have the facility for this, otherwise the Foundation can advise on how it may be carried out. Insurance should be taken out to cover the project.
Applicants should apply within the School or Institution. Please use our guidelines when applying.
Schools that have given awards so far are:
Charter Community School, East Dulwich
Charterhouse School, Surrey
Dulwich College, London
Heathland School, Hounslow
Mossbourne Community Academy, Hackney
Pimlico Academy, London
We have several other schools who are interested in giving awards.
